Mrs. Louisa Rautmann, 84, passed away this morning at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kuhlow of the town of Sheboygan Falls following a short illness.
Born in Breslau, Germany, on Feb. 16, 1868, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Westphal, she came to Sheboygan in 1890 and was married to Louis Rautmann on Sept. 6, 1898, on the homestead farm in the town of Sheboygan Falls.
Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1941. The couple resided on the homestead farm until 1936 when they moved to Johnsonville, and for the past five years Mrs. Rautmann resided with her daughter and son-in-law.
Survivors are 11 daughters and sons, Mrs. Julius (Emma) Kuhlow, Mrs. Otto (Erna) Herzog, Mrs. Albert (Ella) Kuhlow and Mrs. Arthur (Frieda) Kaufmann, of the town of Sheboygan Falls, Ewald on the homestead, Rudolph and Henry of Neenah, Arthur of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. August (Leona) Schroeder of Greenbush, Mrs. Charley (Louise) Meyer and Mrs. Edward (Lillie) Klahn of Florence County; 38 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Hermine Wernousky of Willow River, Minn. Besides her husband, a sister and three brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at Saron E & R Church, Sheboygan Falls and interment will be made in the church cemetery.
