Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Young Robinson Dominy, age 96 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Blue Water Baptist Church with interment to follow in North View Cemetery. Dr. Larry Daniel and Dr. Stanley Roberts will officiate.
Mrs. Dominy was born June 12, 1915 in Wilkinson County, but she was reared by her uncle and aunt, Rev. and Mrs. George Shepard in Dublin. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Samuel and Minnie Shepard Young, and 2 husbands, Lenton Robinson and J. Alton Dominy. Mrs. Dominy was baptized at Jefferson Street Baptist Church, before moving her membership to Blue Water Baptist Church in 1941. Mrs. Dominy was a member of Ada and Arthur Sunday school class of Blue Water Baptist Church and also worked in bible school for many years. Mrs. Dominy also attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. Dominy passed away Friday March 9, 2012 in Serenity Place.
She is survived by her children, Loretta Robinson (Ted) Jarriel of Dublin, Elizabeth " Sissy" Robinson (Aaron) Maddox of Dublin, Betty Dominy (Lee) Currie of Rentz, Virginia Dominy (Russell) Tipton of Rentz, Jimmy Dominy of Rentz her grandchildren, Marie Jarriel (Stanley) Roberts, Janet Jarriel, Chris Maddox, her great-grandchildren, Blake Roberts, Beau Roberts, Haiz Webb, Marie Claire Webb, 6 Dominy grandchildren, 9 Dominy great-grandchildren, and 4 Dominy great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday March 12, 2012 at the funeral home.
