The funeral of Van Horne Bell, who lived about four miles south of Bossburg, and who died last week Thursday, was held at the undertaking parlors in Colville Tuesday afternoon, Rev. M.L. Sanders of the ME church officiating. Interment in Highland cemetery. Pallbearers were: A.E. Woods, I.F. Bible, Charles Chollett, Fred Martin. The deceased was born in Springfield, Ohio, June 23, 1847. On Feb. 3, 1970, he was united in marriage with Miss Mary E. Munch in his native town. To this union five children were born, four of whom, besides his wife, survive. The children are: Mrs. L.C. Thomas of Bossburg, Mrs. G.H. Gray of Collins, Ohio' Herbert A. Bell of Marble, and Bernard Van Horne Bell of Oakville, Tenn., all except the latter being present at the funeral. he also leaves a sister, Miss Jane bell of Zanesville, Ohio.
