Margaret Rose Hawley, age 79, entered eternal life on December 18, 2009 in Palm Springs, Calif. after a brief illness. Margaret was born October 11, 1930 in Sauk Centre, Minn., becoming the seventh of ten children to Joseph and Bernadine Dirnberger. Her family moved to California, where Margaret graduated from Palm Springs High School in 1949. She was a trained Lab Tech and Medical Assistant until she married James G. Hawley in 1957. She then began her most important career as a mother to daughter Carolyn (Perry) of Cathedral City Calif. and son James (1963-1970) who patiently awaited her arrival and greeted her with open arms in heaven. Margaret was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, and grandmother. Her love and concern for her family was unsurpassable. Margaret's legacy lives on in her four grandchildren, Brandon (Maeva), Steven, Kyle, and Christina. Her surviving brothers and sisters include, Marie Cooper of Minneapolis, Minn., Genevieve (Jack) Hendry of San Diego, Calif., Eugene (Barbara) Dirnberger of Albuquerque, N.M., Jerome Dirnberger and John (Patty) Dirnberger of Palm Springs, Calif. There are also many nieces and nephews who will always fondly remember their "Aunt Margaret." Her sisters and brothers who have gone before her are, Bernadine Adams, Cecilia Svenneby, Joseph Dirnberger and Leo Dirnberger. A Celebration of Margaret's Life will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 8, 2010 at Wiefels Chapel, 690 S. Vella Rd. Palm Springs, CA. Directly following the service burial will be at Welwood Murray Cemetery, Alejo Rd. Palm Springs, CA.
