Jerome Henry "Jerry" Dirnberger, age 79, passed away on July 14, 2014, in Palm Springs, California. He was born Oct. 2, 1934, in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, to Joseph and Bernadine Dirnberger. He is preceded in death by his wife, Alice "Dolly" Dirnberger; his granddaughter, Niccole Lynn Holly; his sisters CeCe, Bernie, and Margaret; and his brothers Leo, Joe and John. He is survived by his daughter, Alice-Ann Piens and her husband, Paul Piens, of Palm Springs; his grandsons Brian Holly, Cody Piens, Garrett Piens and Joey Hounsell of Palm Desert; his two sisters, Gen of Rancho Bernardo and Marie of Minneapolis; his brother Gene of Albuquerque; and his great-granddaughter, Evie. Also many nieces and nephews survive him. Jerry has lived in Palm Springs since he was a child, and he graduated from Palm Springs High School. He was the owner of Palm Springs Yamaha Motorcycle Shop for 40 years. He will be greatly missed. Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, at Our Lady of Solitude Catholic Church, 151 W. Alejo Rd., Palm Springs, CA.
