Margaret Davenport, 85, of Lubbock, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009.

Services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Spur with Rev. Richard Williams officiating. Interment will be in Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Margaret was born March 25, 1923, in Waco, to W.O. and Gertrude Meador Davenport. She was a 1941 graduate of Spur High School. She worked as vice president and buyer for Milam's Toyland in Lubbock for many years until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Spur.

Margaret is survived by two sisters, her twin sister, Mildred Hagins and husband M.A. of Spur, and Lynda Davenport of Livingston; two brothers, Bob Davenport and wife Myrt of Brownwood, and Joe Don Davenport of Las Vegas, Nev.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Clarence "Chick" Davenport; and one sister, Sue Browder.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, 3411 73rd St., Lubbock, TX 79423.
