Fred Hogue, 72, Iberia, died Friday at Memorial Community Hospital where he had been a patient since May. He was born May 6, 1905, near Brumley, the son of William and Sally Robinett Hogue. On Dec. 25, 1929, he was married to Jennie L. Irwin, who survives.
Mr. Hogue was a retired cook's helper. He had been employed at Tan-Tar-A Resort and Fort Leonard Wood. He was a member of the Iberia United Church of Christ.
Other survivors include: One daughter, Mrs. Erma Denton, Iberia; two sons, Doyle Hogue and Wayne Hogue, both of Iberia; three brothers, Raymond Hogue of Compton, Calif., and Ralph Hogue and Claude Hogue, both of Farber; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Ahart, Arvin, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Stevinson Chapel, Iberia with the Rev. James Hill officiating. Burial will be in the Livingston Cemetery near Iberia.
