Sarah and her new husband Bernard, came from Ireland together to Canada. They welcomed the arrival of their first child James in 1844 and then soon went to New York. Their second child, Thomas was born in Syracuse in 1846. There last three children were born in Wauconda, Lake, Illinois between 1848 and 1855. They were Henry, Mary and Sarah.
