Ingell Hazard Doyle, of Georgetown, died February 19, 2012.

Mr. Doyle was born in Florence on March 23, 1929, a triplet son of Joseph Ambrose Doyle and Ruth Hazard Doyle.

He lived most of his life in Georgetown, where he was a graduate of Winyah High School. Mr. Doyle attended the Citadel, graduated from the U. S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, MD, and served in the U. S. Navy.

Mr. Doyle was a Georgetown Harbor Pilot, former President of Georgetown Navigation Co., and former real estate broker.

He was retired, after forty years of service, as the Port Director of Customs in Georgetown. He also served as a customs agent at the Wando Terminal in Charleston.

Mr. Doyle was a communicant of Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Church and served his church as a former Vestryman and Junior Warden. He was a past President of the Propeller Club and the Winyah Indigo Society. Ingell was a former member of the Georgetown Development Board and past chairman of the Airport and Port Committee. He was a member of the Cotillion Club of Georgetown and served for many years with Boy Scouts of America, Troop 300.

Surviving are: his wife, Nell Garrison Doyle of Georgetown; three sons, Benjamin I. H. Doyle of Iowa City, Iowa, Joseph A. Doyle (Ainhoa) of Munich, Germany, and George E. Doyle (Paige) of Georgetown; his triplet brothers, Patrick James Doyle (Pat) and Arthur H. Doyle, both of Georgetown; two sisters, Jonathan "Johnnie" D. Hale of Athens, GA and Sarah D. Pusey (Frank) of Summerville; and seven grandchildren.

Mr. Doyle was predeceased by a brother, Joseph A. Doyle, Jr.

Funeral services will be three o'clock, February 23, 2012, at Prince George Winyah Episcopal Church, Rev. Paul C. Fuener officiating. Burial will follow in the Churchyard.
