Died 12:25 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 1984, at Greenwald Nursing Home. He was a native of Clinton and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was an employee of Bolton Construction Company.
Visiting at Gilbert Funeral Home, 1 p.m. to religious service at 8 p.m. monday, conducted by the Rev. S.E. Sanford. Dismissal at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Buriel in Old Hickory Lodge Cemetery. Survived by three daughters (Sharon H. Sullivan, Gail H. Castille and Linda H. Oakes), three sons Willie Holmes-deceased, Ernest Holmes and Eddie Holmes, Jr), all of Baton Rouge; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Scott Holmes; three daughters; and three sons.
