Mrs. Sarah Hoover, Aged 67 Yrs.
Mrs. Sarah Hoover, widow of Benjamin Hoover, died suddenly at 4:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon at her home at Smithsburg, aged 67 years, 9 months and 26 days.
Her death was due to an attack of acute indigestion. Mrs. Hoover was the guest of her sister, Mrs. Lydia Walter, 72 West Main street, for several weeks until Saturday last, when she complained of illness and went to her home, accompanied by Mrs. Walter.
Mrs. Hoover's maiden name was Newcomer. She was a woman of kindliest disposition and of most delightful qualities who attracted to her all who knew her. She was a member of the Lutheran church and was very faithful in her attendance upon it. Her husband died many years ago.
Mrs. Hoover was a sister of Mrs. Lydia Walter, this place, and a sister-in-law of Mrs. E. Elden, Mrs. Mary Geiser and Mrs. Catherine Hoover, also of this place.
A number of her relatives here will attend the funeral which will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Services at the house by Rev. Hesse, of the Lutheran Church. Interment in the Smithsburg cemetery.
