Rosalee "Buck" Garner Burley, age 93 of Tucker, GA formerly of Rockmart passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Embracing Hospice in Snellville, GA after a brief illness.

Parents, Rev. Andrew Jackson "A. J." Garner and Elzie Culver Garner,
Husband, John Wesley "J.W." Burley;
Son, James Andrew Burley;
Sisters, Aline Motes, Thelma Cochran, Vera Baker and Eunice Kelley;
Brothers, Dewey Culver Garner and Leroy Garner.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Rockmart.

Survivors include:
3 Daughters, Brenda (Tony) Turpin of Tucker, Peggy (Frank) Brizendine of Hoover, AL and Carol (Mike) Kirk of Cookeville, TN;
Sister, Lucille G. Spinks of Ringgold;
10 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren and 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

With Rev. Hoyt Lewis and Mr. Greg Bowman officiating.

Mrs. Burley's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Rosalee "Buck" Garner Burley, 93 of Tucker, Ga., formerly of Rockmart passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012.

Mrs. Burley was born April 14, 1918 in Polk County, daughter of the late Rev. Andrew Jackson "A. J." Garner and the late Elzie Culver Garner.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Rockmart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley "J.W." Burley; son, James Andrew Burley; sisters, Aline Motes, Thelma Cochran, Vera Baker and Eunice Kelley and brothers, Dewey Culver Garner and Leroy Garner.

Survivors included three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Tony Turpin of Tucker, Peggy and Frank Brizendine of Hoover, Ala. and Carol and Mike Kirk of Cookeville, Tenn.; sister, Lucille G. Spinks of Ringgold; ten grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren also survived.

A celebration of Mrs. Burley's life was held on Friday, Jan. 20,at 1 p.m in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Hoyt Lewis and Mr. Greg Bowman officiating.

Eulogies were given by her cousin, Frank Statham and several grandchildren with music by Erika Bowman, great-granddaughter. Interment services followed in the family lot of Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Burley's grandsons served as pallbearers.
