Agnes Stewart McGuire, 101, of Reed Hill, Berea, died Thursday, April 16, 2009 at her residence following a short illness. A Jackson County native, she had lived in Madison County for the past 62 years, born July 11, 1907, daughter of the late Elijah and Rachael Clemmons Stewart. Mrs. McGuire was a homemaker, and a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Faye Powell, Dallas (Betty) McGuire, Doug (Joyce) McGuire, Tony (Shirley) McGuire, all of Berea; 18 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest McGuire; 1 daughter, Evelyn Walden; 2 sons, Leonard McGuire, Stanley McGuire; 1 brother; and 5 sisters.

Funeral Service 11:00 AM, Monday, April 20, 2009 at Reppert Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Davis, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Berea Cemetery. Visitation 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be grandsons and granddaughters.
