Mrs. Vernese Dillinger, 80, of Trumann, AR., died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
She was born in Viola, Ark. and had lived in Trumann since 1960. She was the daughter of the late Tom and Dixie Isom Griggs.
She was a former employee of the Salant and Salant Company and Parker Hannifin Corp. and a member of the Northeast Arkansas Baptist Church in Trumann.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Rudolph "Doc" Dillinger; one daughter,
Corrine Dillinger; one son, Doran Ray Dillinger.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Busby and husband, Toney of Trumann; one son, Rick Dillinger and wife Sheila of Trumann; two sisters, Irene Bales of Bakersfield , MO and Lois Farmer and husband Fred of Trumann; one brother Junior Griggs and wife Evelyn of Austin, Ark.; six grand-children, John Dillinger and wife Mindy, Bo Hickey and wife Samantha, Kenny Stacks and wife Megan, Sherry Cravens and husband Miles, Roy Warden and Rickey Dillinger and wife Brittany; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grand-children.
Funeral service were in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home. Graveside service was held at Pickren Hall/Enterprise Cemetery in Viola, Ark.,
