Funeral services for Mrs. W. A. (Florence) Tubbs. 75, of Osage, were held on 10:30 a.m. Friday at Amsler Funeral Home in McGregor. Rev. W. W. Baker of Spring Branch officiated and burial was in the Osage Cemetery.
Mrs. Tubbs died at 3:29 a.m. Thursday in the local hospital following a lengthy illiness.
She was born on October 23, 1895 in Osage, daughter of Edgar and Bettie Edwards. She married W. A. (Bill) Tubbs in 1944.
She was a member of the Osage Baptist Church
Survivors were her stepdaughter, Mrs. T. L. Patterson of Houston; one sister, Mrs. Carl Etchison of Gatesville; one step-grandaughter, Melinda Patterson of San Marcos, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Tubbs funeral were Dan Edwards, Bruce Edwards, R. N. Martin, M. L. Bland, W. D. Craddock, and John Blake.
