Elizabeth Jackson was a victim of the Halifax Explosion. She was killed along with over half her children and grandchildren.

She was born and raised in Halifax, the daughter of Morris and Elizabeth Halloran.
Elizabeth married James Stephen Jackson on 7 Oct 1868.

This union brought the following children:

At the time of the explosion, Elizabeth was living with her son William at 1 Roome Street.

It is believed Elizabeth's family suffered the worse loss of all. She lost more than half her children and their spouses, most of her grandchildren and all of her great-grandchildren.
Of the sixty-four members of the extended Jackson family in Halifax at the time, forty-six died.

The remains of Elizabeth were buried in Mount Olivet, Halifax.
