James McMullen (McMullin) was b. c. 1776 in Pennsylvania. On 6 Mar 1800 in Augusta County, Virginia he married Mary Henderson, the daughter of Valentine Henderson, who was b. c. 1778 probably in Virginia. They had two known children: Martha and Daniel. By the 1840 Census Mary, James, Daniel and his family had moved to Marion County, Indiana. James died there 19 Feb. 1852.
