Domitila "Aunt Tilly" was the daughter of Cosme' Nevarez and Feliciana Rodriguez. Cosme' was a supervisor/foreman at an American Smelting and Refining Co., in Angangueo, Michoacan, Mexico and died in a mining accident in approx. 1909.

Aunt Tilly was married on April 29, 1903 in Graham, AZ. to Luis Mata, son of Jesus Maria Mata and Maria Ellen Rozalia Saenz of Mexico.
