Adriana was born in Uruguay and had French passport, but she lived in Argentina since 1973. Her father disappeared in June 1976. Her mother and sisters went to France, but Adriana remained in Argentina to be with her boyfriend, Ricardo Carpintero. When he disappeared on March 25, 1977, Adriana was 7 or 9 months pregnant (it is not exactly known). Six days later she was also arrested, but was given freedom after a few hours. On April 8, 1978, Adriana was seen wounded in an ambulance. Nothing was known about her until 1983 when her body was found.
