Inez Goodwin, 89, of Wortham, Texas passed away on November 26, 2011, in Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Goodwin was born on July 7, 1922, in Palestine to Ed and Selime Bedre. She was educated in Palestine and graduated from St. Mary's Academy. Inez lived in Palestine until her marriage to C.B. Goodwin and thereafter moved to Wortham, Texas. Mr. Goodwin preceded her in death in 1998. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mexia, Texas until her death. She enjoyed family and friends and was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother. Inez will especially be remembered among her family for her grape leaves, kibbee, and baklava. Inez was an especially religious woman and watched Mass on television several times a week after her health was such that she was unable to attend it in person. Inez is survived by a daughter, Sandra Blackwell and husband Barry of Amarillo, Texas; a stepson, Michael Goodwin and wife Donna of Wortham, Texas; a stepdaughter Becky Beldin and husband Lonnie of Mexia, Texas; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Palestine, Texas under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
