Delilah Beeman was the daughter of Isaac and Lydia Beeman; she married Abraham Ashley of Chatham, Columbia County, New York circa 1810. Abraham was a son of Noah and Rebecca Reynolds Ashley.
Abraham and Delilah became the parents of twelve children:
Russell D., Mary (called "Polly"), William H., Abraham, Jr., James, George, Lydia Ann, Bernard H., Mercy F., Ruth, Desmond G. and Winifred O. Ashley, all born in Chatham, Columbia County, New York.
Delilah and Abraham are buried in the cemetery which is variously called: the Quaker Cemetery at Rayville, Friends Burial Ground at Rayville, and the Cemetery at Rayville. Delilah's grave is about half-way up the hill; Abraham is buried without a gravestone or marker.
Note: some sources give Delilah's month of death as December rather than October.
