Mrs. Veal was born March 16, 1914, in Schoolton to J.F. Remy and Lois Coley Remy. She lived in Norman, Oklahoma from 1924-1958, where she graduated from Norman High School in 1931 and attended the University of Oklahoma. During World War II, she worked for the U.S. Civil Service in Washington, D.C., and continued working at Tinker Field from 1944-1958. She retired from the Civil Service in Miramar Naval Air Station, San Diego, in 1965.

Survivors include her husband, Claiborne C. "Johnny" Veal of the home; two sons, Hayden Henry of Santee, California, and Gene Henry of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Margaret Uzcategui of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Caracas, Venezuela, and Evelyn Hobbs of Norman, Oklahoma; and two brothers, Albert Remy of Yuma, Arizona, and Bill Remy of Norman, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Anne Henry in 1985.

Mrs. Veal died January 2, 1986 of an extended illness. Burial was at Arlington Point in the El Camino Memorial Park Cemetery in San Diego, California after services at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel at the cemetery.
