A French Huguenet,he arrived in America on Oct 22 1754, ship Henrietta. His name was listed as Turolf on the manifest. Many of the passengers were sick on arrival.
He married Catharine Fertig on Oct 10, 1761, in Trappe Lutheran Church in Augustus by Rev Melchoir Muhlenberg.
He is the ancestor of this family in America. He was already settled in Earl Township, Berks, Pa. in 1782 where he probably located during the Revolutionary War. His will was made on Jan 10 1803 and is on record in will book 4, page 262. His name in the will was given as Dearolf.
