M2: Agnes Ann Williams (who died after 1880 ...shows in 1880 census for Knox Co. as a widow)
Eli & Sallie had 4 daughters: Missouri, Indiana b:10/4/1835, Louisiana b: 1837, and America b: 1839, d: 1840.
Agnes was previously married, Williams is her married name and I do not know her maiden name. I have not found any children listed for their marriage.
Eli was a farmer in Abingdon area of Cedar Twp, Knox Co., IL.

Eli Butler and wife Sallie had the following daughters in this order: Missouri (my ggrandmother), Indiana, Louisiana. (See his Will at Ancestry.com, they are named.) I have found record that a fourth daughter, America, died very young, and the mother - Sallie - died about the same time and those two are buried together.
Eli then married Agnes Williams and they had NO children together.
Eli's second wife Agnes, had a daughter from her previous marriage, Harriet Williams. Both Agnes and her daughter Harriet (as an adult), married Butler men - hence the confusion on whether or not Harriet is a Butler daughter.
Harriet Williams married Vincent Butler in Illinois in 1861.
Very unusual for both mother and daughter to end up with the same married last name, but that's what happened here.
