Martin Adams, along with his father and younger siblings, emigrated from Germany arriving at Port of New York on 30 Oct 1869 aboard the ship Siberia ~ Martin, son of Johann Peter Adams and Magdalena Helena Engels, married Maria Katharina Jung, daughter of Johann Baptist Jung and Anna Wagner, on 13 February 1879 at St John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg, McHenry County, Illinois. Martin and Maria were the parents of ten known children, Bernard J., Franz, Jacob, Anna Rosa, Josephine, Joseph, Stephen G., Frank L. (twin of Anna Marie), Anna Marie (twin of Frank) and Christina. Martin died as a result of pneumonia
