Funeral services for Mrs. Kathryn S. Scollick, late of 125 Washington street, Denver, and formerly of Florence were held Monday afternoon, July 24, at 2 p.m. from Florence Mortuary chapel. The Rev. Lester Thompson officiated. Appropriate organ selections were played by Mrs. Nelson Moorhead.
Mrs. Scollick died at a Denver hospital 'Thursday, July 20, at 11:10 a.m. Born February 24, 1881 in Springfield, Ill., she was 80 years of age. A resident of Denver the past 7 years, she spent 73 years in Florence and eastern Fremont county after coming here at the age of six months with her parents.
A housewife by occupation, Mrs. Scollick was a member of the Methodist church and the Macabees. On August 26, 1908 in Canon City she married David Scollick who preceded her in death in 1955.
Survivors are the following children: Samuel S. Scollick, Seattle, Wash.; Margaret Moore, Eugene, Ore.; Letha V. Medde, Denver; Vondra M. Baker, Denver; Jean Farrin, Denver. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and four great grand children.
Pallbearers were James Penny, Denver; Fred and Lester Penny, Canon City; John W. mains, Canon City; Thomas Graham Sr. and Thomas Graham Jr., both Pueblo.
Interment was in Union Highland cemetery under direction of Florence Mortuary.
