Leona Geffert was the daughter, sister, granddaughter & aunt we never got to meet. She was the second child of my grandparents Gus Geffert and Bertha Markmann Geffert.
She attended the Mountain View School in Live Oak County. She contracted Diphtheria and passed away in May of 1924 at the young age of 7 years old.
She had passed away before my father was even born. My father passed away when I was young, but I can remember hearing him talking about her and on several occasions taking me & mom to visit her grave.
So I know she was thought of and remembered. All her immediate family are back together in heaven with her now.
She is still thought of & I wish I could have met her.
