The same contributor tells me that there was a daughter Eliza who married a Charles Leonard in 1828 in New York and they had a son Peter in 1831. Further information in the two emails says that Charles and Elizabeth Leonard are in the U. S. Census of 1860 at Orangetown with a local post office of Nyack and that Elizabeth is said to have been born abt. 1830 in New York and that Charles W. Leonard was born abt. 1832 in Massachusetts.
From my original information, Elizabeth (mother of Eliza) was married to Johannes A. Van Houten.
