Mrs. Thomas Malecha Died
After Illness With
Pneumonia

Mrs. Thomas Malecha, 65, of Lonsdale, died at her home in Lonsdale on Friday morning, November 3 at 4:15 a .m. Death resulted from pneumonia which developed from an attack of influenza several weeks ago.
Born near Veseli May 1874, she lived at the home of her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. John Frejlach, until her marriage at Veseli to Thomas Malecha. Following her marriage, she, with her husband, lived on a farm near New Prague. Remaining there a number of years, they moved to a farm 4 ½ miles southeast of Lonsdale, living there until moving to Lonsdale.
She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mary Malecha, and four sons, Joseph V. of Lonsdale, Emil and August of Montgomery and John M. of Lonsdale. Two children preceded their mother in death, Emma, age six, and one child in infancy.
She is also survived by one brother and one sister, Frank Frejlach of Lonsdale and Mrs. Jos. J. Salaba of Faribault. Four sisters and three brothers also preceded her to the grave.
Funeral services were held from the Immaculate Conception Church in Lonsdale on Monday, November 6, with Rev Robert Bastyr officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Albert Peterka Sr., Frank A. Malecha; Walter Frejlach of Lonsdale; Frank Salaba of Veseli; Charles and Tom Malecha of Northfield.
Members of the Rosary Society attended the funeral in a body.
Many relatives and friends from neighboring towns attended the wake and funeral services.
