Daughter of Stephan McGuinness and Bonnie Tarsus McGuinness.

Lived to age 5 years.

Cause of Death - Exposure and stab wounds (Homicide) Pronounced on 7 February 1974.

Five year old Siobhan McGuinness disappeared just blocks from her Missoula Montana home on the evening of February 5, 1974. She was located 2 days later about 11 miles from Missoula.

Siobhan's mother is Bonnie Tarses. She does not have a grave per se, but there is a memorial to her, Siobhan's Grove at Ewam Garden of a Thousand Buddhas in Arlee, Montana.
She was a dear friend and I am close to the family. I would be happy to get photos of Siobhan's Grove the next time I'm there if you'd like. Thank you.

Such a heartbreaking case. I recently viewed a YouTube video on Criminally Listed channel updating this case. I'm glad they identified a suspect through genetic genealogy using DNA. Sad that he had already passed in 2012 and couldn't be tried, but thankful that her family received some closure. My thoughts & prayers go out to them. Also, found a duplicate memorial for little Siobhan.
Contributed by Jeffrey Berry #49314107Siobhan was just 5 years old when she was kidnapped off a Missoula MT sidewalk. The next day, searchers found her under the highway, 10 miles east of Missoula, in a culvert. Siobhan was murdered. This case was solved in 2020 with DNA using genetic genealogy. The DNA belonged to a man who died in 2012.
