Obituary
Mrs. Isabelle Michael (Nee Asher) was born May 23rd, 1862 in Phelps Co. Mo., left this life August 31st, 1933 at the age of 71 years. She was married to Levi Michael 46 years ago and to them was born three children, two daughters and one son. Mrs. Abraham Adams, Mrs. Irvie Oneal and Donas Michael, all of St. Louis Mo. She had seven grandchildren, one brother, Marion Asher of Rolla Mo., mother, father, two brothers and two sisters having preceded her to life beyond. One sister, Mrs. Mary Ann Coppedge of St. James Mo, died just 10 weeks before Mrs. Michael. Mrs. Michael accepted Jesus as her savior when a young girl and lived a Christian life from that time until her going away she had been a member of a Baptist Church. In her suffering she was so kind and patient. She took sick on a Sunday morn after preparing breakfast and pneumonia set in and died the following Thursday evening at 11:40. Her funeral services were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Oneal 2123 Clifton ave on Saturday evening at eight o’clock by Rev. Forest Lowry of the Tower Grove Baptist Church at which a large crowd attended and then the body was taken from there to St. James. Mo., and was tenderly laid to restin the Morrison Cemetery. Mrs. Michael was loved by every one who knew her an she has many friends and loved ones to mourn her departure.
Oh Darling mother how we miss you.
No one but us can tell.
But God who loved you better
Has taken you home to dwell.
Some day, sometime, our eyes shall meet,
The place we loved so well.
And all that is left for memory
Is your grave on a distant hill.
