THE PARIS NEWS, Nov 10, 2010. page 3. - Sybil "Jere" Burns, 71, of Roxton passed from this life Sunday, Nov 7, 2010, at her residence. Before her passing, she requested the family host a gathering of family and friends in celebration of her life, set to began at noon Saturday, Nov 13, at her home in Roxton. Cremation arrangements were under the care of Starrett Funeral Home.

She was born April 16, 1939, in Lamar County, a daughter of Haskell and Sybil Morris Childers. She was a graduate of Roxton High School, and retired from property management. She loved to sit on the front porch and visit with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon McCloud, of Roxton; a son Terry Ray McCloud, of Roxton; two grandchildren, Dustin Boone and wife, Desiree, of Paris and Jason Boone and his wife, Jessica, of Sanger; five great-grandchildren; a much loved brother, Lyndell Childres of Roxton; her life partner, Richard "Daredevil" Relford of Maxey; special neices and nephews; special sisters, Dorwease Smith, Sharon Scott, Joy Thompson; special friend, Hazel Relford; and two very special pets, Sissy and Jake.

Our precious Mother, Sis, Grammy Rosie, Baby Girl, as always, a butterfly has landed. You were the light of our lives, you held our hands, you touched our hearts, and you made all who knew you smile with your beautiful smile and loving heart. You will remain with us always.
