Pauline E. Bensinger, 86, of 5570 Lincoln Highway, Gap, died Sunday at the home of her son, with whom she lived, following a brief illness. She worked as a sales clerk for the former Rubinson's Department Store, New Holland. She enjoyed knitting and playing cards. A member of New Holland United Methodist Church, Mrs. Bensinger was involved in the church seniors group. Born in Gap, she was a daughter of the late Edmund M. and Hannah Henry Wise. Her husband, Lester G. Bensinger, died in 1973. Surviving are a son, T. Gregg, husband of Joanne Brackbill Bensinger of Gap; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a brother, William E. Wise of Christiana. She was preceded in death by a son, Edmund; a brother, George Wise; and four sisters, Alice W. Keen, Ruth E. Virtue, Olive W. Carlin and Geraldine W. Graham.
