Lillian Grace Bindel Falk, 82, Effingham, died Friday, June 8, 2007, at her home.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Effingham, with the Rev. Benjamin Tremmel, OSB, celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Ann's Church with a parish rosary recited at 5 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Ann's Church and may be left in care of Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison. Mrs. Falk worked at S.S. Kresges in Atchison, the Effingham Sale Day Café, at the Hawk Sale Barn in Effingham for 13 years, and part time for Childer's Grocery Store and as a waitress at the Plantation Night Club, Atchison.

She was born Dec. 13, 1924, in Fairview, the daughter of Aloysius John and Ruth Leanna Kasten Bindel. She attended St. Augustine Catholic School in Fidility and graduated from Fairview High School.

Mrs. Falk was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and the altar society of the church. She was also a member of Sunny Hill Thimble Club for more than 50 years and the Maple Grove club.

She married Laurence Orville Falk on June 22, 1948, at St. Benedict's Church, Atchison. He survives of the home. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Richard, Donald and Francis Bindel.

Additional survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Ruth and Raymond Acheson, Effingham, Elizabeth and Calvin Page, Holton, and Helen and R. Dan Dickson, Bendena; a sister, Christina Miller, Atchison; four brothers, Aloysius P. Bindel, Kansas City, Mo., Herbert F. Bindel, Parkville, Mo., Virgil J. Bindel, Vasser, and Gerald V. Bindel, Kearney, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
