A native of Mamou, La., he was a resident of the Port Arthur and LaBelle area since 1952. He was a retired operator from Corland Container with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Full Gospel Christian Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Hazzie; son, D.J. "Joe" Veillon of Pineville, La.; daughters, Geraldine "Jeri" Lewis of LaBelle, Janice "Jan" Harper of Port Neches and Gail Fisher of Opelika, Ala.; four brothers, Stagg Veillon of Thibodeaux, La., Elvin Veillon, Emile Veillon and Albert Veillon all of Mamou, La.; sisters, Lurline Fontenot of Oberlin, La. and Lurley Briley of Mamou, La.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
