James Mack died in Wayne County in 1852, and his wife Sarah died there in 1853. Both are buried in the old Buchanan Cemtery near Green River, not far from Waynesboro.
He had the following children: Lemuel Dabney Mack, Aquilla Wilson Mack, James Mack, Lydia Mack, John Armenius Mack, Robert H. Mack, and an Unknown daughter Mack who is thought to have died early.
