Son of Harriet Scott and Richard Armstrong

Like his father, he was a captain on the Great Lakes, later pursing a news reporting career and finally becoming a successful playwright in NY.

Married Rella Abel in London in 1899. Children included Anabel Armstrong, Myrell Armstrong and Elizabeth Armstrong.

After his divorce from Rella, Paul Armstrong married Kittie Cassidy, a leading actress in several of his plays who acted under the stage name, Catherine Calvert. They had a son who was an infant when Paul died in NY.
