JAMES AGNEW
A veteran of the first World War, James Agnew died July 20, 1967 at the age of 80. He was born at Milton, Holton (Halton) County, Ontario. He came to Alberta in 1913 and worked at Beaver Mines in Pincher Creek district. He enlisted in the army during the first World War and served overseas and in Canada for three years. After his discharge he worked in the Pincher Creek area and Claresholm until buying a farm east of Kirkcaldy. He farmed there until 1942 when he moved to Vulcan. He married Mrs. Ruby Scott in 1963. Since his death, Mrs. Agnew has resided at the coast.
