Pauline "Polly" Strohbush of Cambridge, Wisconsin passed away Sunday,February 1,2009 with her loving family at her side having completed her journey on this earth after 102 years, 3 months, 2 days.
Polly was born in Cambridge, Wisconsin on October 30, 1906, the daughter of Peter and Jennie (Warne) Onstad. She attended Carroll College for 2 years and UW-Milwaukee for 2 years and received her Bachelor of Education. She taught kindergarden in Cambridge for 34 years, retiring in 1971. On September 11, 1936 Polly married Adolph Strohbusch in Madison, Wisconsin. Polly was a member of the Oakland-Cambridge Presbyterian Church and the Eastern Star.
Surviving are: Son: William (Patricia) Strohbusch, Cambridge; Daughter: Kay (Stanley) Lund, Cambridge; Four Grandchildren: Jody (Richard) Wolf, Brian (Betsy) Lund, John (Pam) Strohbusch, and Beth (Dale) Clark, Ten Great-Grandchildren: Ben and Mitchel Wolf, Angela and Nicholas Runge, Griffin, Abigail, Evan, and Sean Clark, and Johnathon and Carson Lund.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Sue Olson, a granddaughter, Jill Runge, and three brothers: Everett, Owen and Kenneth.
