Allison, Joseph of Aldolphustown was born in N.Y state. After fighting for Britain in the Revolutionary War, he settled in U.C. in 1784. He died at the house of his nephew, Joseph B Allison, July 27, 1840, in his 87th year; survived by his widow in her 96th year.
