Eunice Rose (Abel) Wilson, 96, of Eureka, a former resident of Danville for 83 years, died at 11:40 PM Thursday, Oct. 20, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born Nov. 25, 1897, in Decatur, the daughter of Anthony and Mary Kennedy Abel. She was married to Orville Wilson in October of 1919 in Covington, IN; he preceded her in death in 1969.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth Auxiliary, Vermilion County Home Extension, and she was a Red Cross volunteer.

Surviving is a son, James R. (Betty) Wilson of Washington, IL; a sister, Anna Shuman of Danville; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters, a brother; a daughter, Helen; and a son, Robert O. Wilson.

Funeral services Oct. 24 at Barrick & Son Funeral Home, Msgr. C.B. Motsett officiating; burial Sunset Memorial Park.
