Was born in Westmoreland county, Pa., June 2, 1810; died at her home near Gilead, Marshall county Ind. on April 10, 1892. She was married to William Johnson January 4, 1838, in Ohio, and with her husband came to Indiana in 1845. One son and three daughters preceded her to the other world. Her husband and one son (Robert) and one daughter (Mrs. Corbin Spencer) survive her. She was converted to God and united with the M. E. church 3 years ago, remaining faithful to her high calling until her final discharge. She was exemplary in all things. A very large concourse of people gathered at the Jordan Baptist church, April 12th. where the funeral services, conducted by her pastor Rev. Beall, assisted by Rev. Allerton were held.
