Lawrence Mueller Sr., 79, husband of Mrs Alice (Pomfret) Mueller of 85 Ward St. died Wednesday after a short illness. Born in Hope, Kan., he was the son of the late Emil and the late Mary (Kohrs) Mueller. He lived in this city 53 years, formerly operating the Pomfret Bakery on Pleasant Street. Before retiring two years ago, he was the pastry chef at the Keewaydin Club in Naples, Fla. and he was a baker in the Navy during World War I. A member of the Massassoit-Narragansett Lodge AF&AM, he was also past patron of the Fall River chapter Order of the Eastern Star, and past president of the Jewel Club, all of this city. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Besides his widow he leaves one son, Lawrence Mueller Jr of Burnt Hill, N.Y., four brothers, Arthur Mueller of Eugene Ore., Alvin Mueller of Gladewater, Tex., Embert Mueller of Shreveport, La., and Herbert Mueller of Brevard, N.C., four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are by Hathaway Funeral Home. 1813 Robeson St.
