"Marjorie V. Womack died Tuesday, February 16, 1988, in a local hospital.

Born July 23, 1897, in Moulton, Iowa, she was of Huguenot and Quaker ancestry. The family moved to Brookfield, Missouri, and in 1906 to Marshall, Texas. She married Travis Twyman Womack in Shreveport, Louisiana, on June 18, 1918, just prior to her husband's induction into the Army as a cadet for pre-flight training in Austin, Texas. The family moved to Sherman in 1937, and Mrs. Womack moved to Austin in 1973 to live with her son, John Womack.

She is survived by sons John Womack of Austin and Travis Twyman Womack, Jr., of Laguna Vista, Texas; and two nieces, Mary Martha Votaw and Diana Larson, both of Austin; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at West Hill Cemetery, Sherman, Texas, at 11 a.m. Thursday under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home, with Reverend John Taylor of the First United Methodist Church officiating." Austin American-Statesman (Austin, Texas), February 18, 1988
