Price Fike, 71, of Irvine, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the Central Baptist Hospital after a short illness. He was born August 26, 1939, in Estill County and was the son of the late Ernest and Rosie Belle "Pete" Lynch Fike. He was a retired employee of the Gulf State Paper Company and was a member of the South Irvine Christian Church. He had lived in Estill County most of his life. he was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Fike.
Survivors include his wife, Jewell D. Messer Fike; two daughters, Jenny Sharp and David Crouch all of Estill County, and Kathy Fike, also of Estill County; four sisters, Ruth Thacker, Christene Smyth and Elizabeth Fike, all of Estill County, and Ruby McMaine of Waco; three grandchildren, Anthony Muncie, David(Chrita) Spivey, and Rondene Plowman; and a great-grandchild, Autumn McKinsey.
Funeral services at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Jim Thacker. Burial was at the South Irvine Cemetery. Paullbearers were David Spivey, Casey Rose, Robbie Canter, Steve Noe, Ernie Thcker, Bill Lively, Anthony Muncie, Rondene Plowman and David Crouch.
