Springfield, MA-Eugene"Little Boy"Malone, 76, of 64 Carlisle St., Spfld., departed this life on Monday, Jan.20, 2003 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Trenton, NJ on Dec.7, 1926, he was the son of the late George Malone & Dora(Burke)Malone. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Malone was a communicant of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Spfld. He was employed as a truck driver for the City of Spfld, retiring in 1974. He also was a former iceman for Bruno's Ice Co. and was a former employee for the City Cleaners of Spfld. He also was a licensed barber and delivered prescriptions for Dearborn Pharmacy. He and his wife did catering services for Park Manor. Mr. Malone also walked the beat with the Police Auxiliary for the Spfld. Police Dept. He was a member of the Carl L. Talbot Post # 6189 VFW. He was predeceased by one son, Terry Malone in 1976. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years, Dorothy B.(Walker)Malone; his mother, Dora(Burke)Malone of Spfld.; five sons, Michael K. Malone of Danbury, CT, Eugene Jr., Robert K., Richard K., and Arthur D. Malone all of Spfld.; one daughter, Dorothy J. Malone of Spfld.;23 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Funeral services will be on Thursday from 10:30-11:30 am at the Henderson Funeral Home, 52 Hancock St., Spfld., with Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 45 Buckingham St., Spfld. Calling hours are Wednesday, 7-9 pm at the Henderson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Mass. Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
