Frankie Bell Rippetoe was born July 14, 1926 in Delhi, Oklahoma to Lora and Warlo Dewees. She passed away May 14, 2004 at McKinney, Texas at the age of 77 years 10 months. Frankie attended school at Delhi, Carter and Ocina. She moved to Shawnee where she worked at an aircraft factory during World Way II. She returned to Sayre where she worked at the bowling alley. She was married to Bill Lee Rippetoe at Sayre, OK, on June 7, 1946. They farmed in the Spring Creek area until 1950 when they moved to Borger, TX. They later lived in Pampa and Bowers City, TX before moving to Hobbs, NM in 1961. In 1986 they moved to Weatherford, OK. Frankie worked with developmentally disabled adults in both Hobbs and Weatherford until 1989. In 1990, they moved to Sayre to make their home. Frankie was formerly a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Hobbs and current member of the Sayre First Baptist Church. Frankie enjoyed teaching Sunday School and working with children int he nursery. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son, Warlo Rippetoe, and 1 sister, Bobbie Smith. She is survived by her children, Bill Rippetoe & wife, Gerri, Dallas, TX, Wanda Bruns & husband Richard, Sayre, OK, Frank Rippetoe & wife Renea, Moriarty, NM, Ray Rippetoe and wife Sherry, Allen, TX; 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; 1 sister Goldie Winn and husband Doyle, Amarillo, TX; 1 brother Charles Dewees & wife, Wanda, Griffin, GA and a host of other relatives and friends.
