Mrs. Baysdon loved her children, grandchildren and church. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing and traveling. She was recently recognized as being the oldest member of Hallsboro Baptist Church and was a member of one of the first graduating classes of Hallsboro High School.
Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 27, at Peacock's Funeral Home Chapel, Whiteville, with Rev. Barry Swain officiating. Interment will be in the Pierce Cemetery in Hallsboro.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Linda Sellers and husband, Tom, and Mary Ellen B. Register, all of Hallsboro; 2 grandsons, Ronald David Register, Christopher Brian Register and wife, Kim, and a granddaughter, Lana Ellen Long and husband, Sam, all of Hallsboro; 5 great-grandsons, Shea Bryson of Thomasville, GA, Brannon Bryson of Greenville, Austin Bryson, David Bryson and Wyatt Long, all of Hallsboro; 2 great-grandaughters, Lauren Connor Register and Lindsey Elaine Dew, both of Hallsboro.
