A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Carrie Naff and Lois Hunter. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Ottis Prescott of Crossett (married November 12, 1956 in Greenville, MS); one daughter, Sharon Prescott Rogers of El Dorado; a grandson, Benjamin Burgess of El Dorado and two sisters, Ruth King of Crossett and Louise Hays of Warren.
Funeral services were at 4 p.m. Monday, September 10, in the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett with Rev. Travis Roberts officiating. Pallbearers were Junior Burdan, Eugene Burnett, John P. Daugherty, Glen Naff, Roger Naff, Steve Naff, Robert Prescott and Teddy Thurman. Honorary pall bearers were Eugene Barnett, Terry Barnett, Clarence Burnett, Charles Naff, Douglas Prescott, L.D. Prescott and Tommy Lee Sexton. Burial followed at Simms Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church or the Paul Sullins Library (now the Crossett Public Library).
