Santiago "Jimmy" Martinez, a resident of Lemon Grove, CA., passed away November 20, 2001 in Albuquerque while visiting his mother, Rosa. He was a loving son,
brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Jimmy was always willing to help others, and he served in the US Air Force. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Martinez and his brother Maximo Martinez. He is survived by his wife Maria Theresa Martinez of Lemon Grove, CA.; sons, Jamie Martinez and wife Sonia of Mercedes, TX., and Stephen Anthony Martinez of
Albuquerque; daughter, Lizeth Martinez of California; mother, Rosa L. Martinez of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Alexandria Rose Martinez and Julian Mathais Martinez; brothers, Anastacio F. Martinez and Larry Martinez; sister, Gloria Smith, and other family and friends who loved and will miss him. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2001 at St. Andrew United
Methodist Church, 3905 Las Vegas Dr. SW. (Isleta west on Camino del Valle). Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2001, at San Felipe Catholic Church in Old Town, with burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
